Welcome to St Joseph’s PFA!

The St Joseph’s Parents and Friends Association is a registered Charity and is open to all who have an interest in our fantastic School and want to help a small dedicated group enhance the lives of the Children and School by putting on events and raising funds.

Between the 1st January 2014 and August 2015 the PFA made donations to the School in excess of £12,500!

This allowed the School to purchase additional iPads plus charging case, classroom smartboards, 30 Glockenspiels, 54 baseball caps (for external excursions), reading books for Year 6, drama group costumes, Christmas Selection boxes, Christmas Crackers for the Christmas lunch, wet weather outfits for Reception (for their wet welly walks) and some paper, glitter and card.

This was achieved through running a number of fundraising events and the generosity of the parents and friends who have supported us.  The events included:

  • Regular After School Film Nights
  • Summer & Christmas Fairs (including Raffles)
  • Ladies Evening
  • Drama Show and Sports Day Refreshments
  • Disco

This academic year we have raised funds through many activities including:

  • Children designing Christmas Cards professionally printed for sale
  • More of the ever popular film nights
  • Christmas Fayre and Raffle
  • Upcoming Summer Fayre (2nd July between 11am and 3pm)

The funds raised have help provide much needed resources for the school including the complete renovation of the School Garden which took place in the 7 days over Easter break with generous support of local businesses.

We know we can achieve so much more but we need your help. There are many ways that you could help the PFA make this new academic year so much more successful and help us raise even more funds for the much needed projects.

How can you help?

We need to increase the number of volunteers, organisers and committee members so that we can do things bigger and better for the coming year and make an even greater difference to the lives of the Children and School.

We are especially looking for volunteers for the upcoming Summer Fayre on 2nd July, the Fayre is open between 11am and 3pm.

If you can help occasionally or want to get involved in a much more regular way then we would be delighted to welcome you to the meetings which are held every month at St Joseph’s Parish Centre usually at 7.30pm.  Please refer to the School’s Website Calendar, the weekly newsletter and text service for details of the meeting dates. (We plan to change the nights each time the meetings are held so that if you have a regular commitment on a certain night we hope that there will other nights you might be able to attend.)

If you can’t help directly then please support the events we put on in whatever way you can to make a difference.  You can contact the PFA team at any time through our e-mail address:

More information on the PFA can be found on the School Website under the “About the School”, “PFA” section.

Many thanks

The PFA Team
